International Cleft Congress – Kyoto 2025
The 15th International Congress on Cleft Lip, Palate and Related Craniofacial Anomalies was held in Kyoto, Japan, bringing together more than 1,400 delegates from 97 countries. The Congress celebrated the strength of the global cleft community, with opportunities to share research, clinical expertise and new ideas across disciplines.
ACLAPA members were well represented throughout the scientific program, contributing to knowledge exchange and strengthening connections with colleagues from around the world.
Owen Cole Scholarship Award
Congratulations to Daniel Otobo (Nigeria), recipient of the Owen Cole Scholarship, supported by ACLAPA, for the best Junior Investigator presentation at the International Congress.
Daniel received the award for his presentation, “Prevalence of malnutrition in cleft patients in Madagascar: a cross-sectional study.”
ACLAPA is proud to support emerging researchers and clinicians who are contributing to improved outcomes for individuals and families affected by cleft and craniofacial conditions around the world.
